On January 18 (Sunday), Iwaki City and IIA jointly held an exchange event between international students and local residents. A total of 52 people participated, including 28 international students from 11 countries.
Participants enjoyed freshly picked strawberries at the Agripark Strawberry Orchard, then moved to the Seaside Nature Center, where they had lunch with members of the Rotary Club. While sharing a meal, they talked about life in Iwaki and in their home countries, as well as their future dreams, deepening their connections.
After lunch, participants were divided into teams and enjoyed a game called pétanque, which created great excitement. Everyone enjoyed a fun and meaningful time together, regardless of nationality or school.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club for their generous cooperation in organizing this event.
