On Saturday, September 20, we held a disaster-preparedness event at Tenjoda Park!
Participants tried emergency food, made shelter slippers and trash boxes out of newspapers, practiced rope work, carried “injured” people using a blanket stretcher, and even learned disaster tips through the card games. Children, international residents, and many others joined in. And, seven students from Uchigo Junior High School’s English Club volunteered, bringing great energy and enjoying the intercultural exchange!
