This advisory informs the public that the likelihood of a large earthquake has become relatively higher than usual, but it does not mean that a major earthquake will definitely occur within a specific period.
So, please stay calm and prepare for possible earthquakes for about the next week.
Examples of disaster preparedness measures:
Sleeping in a way that allows you to evacuate immediately
Keeping emergency supplies with you at all times
Staying away from utility poles, block walls, and similar structures
Being cautious of landslides and other related hazards
Charging radios and smartphones to ensure you can receive emergency information
Rechecking the securing of furniture, food stockpiles, and other routine preparedness measures
